WIC Services remain at the Health Department

Latest News

As of July 1st 2018, many of the clinical services currently available at the Health Department will be moving to a new location.  WIC and Breastfeeding Support services will still be available at the Health Department.  To be clear, WIC is not moving out of the Health Department.

With summer upon us, it is once again time to distribute Farmers Market Coupons.  All Lucas County WIC clinics will begin distribution on July 9th 2018.  Each set of coupons is worth $20.00 of locally grown fruits, vegetables, and herbs, and those coupons can be redeemed at one of the many different farmers markets and stands that participate with our program.   Participants who are eligible include pregnant, breastfeeding, and postpartum women, and children nine months to five years old.  Coupons are first-come, first-served and can be picked up at your WIC clinic from 8:00-11:00am and 1:00-4:00pm Monday through Friday beginning July 9th 2018.

If you need to make a WIC appointment, or have questions about WIC services in Lucas County, please call 419-213-4422.  If you have questions about Breastfeeding Support, please call 419-213-2124.

We apologize for any confusion that may have been created with the media release in regard to the clinical services at the Health Department.  Know that WIC is here to serve the nutritional needs of your family, and we look forward to seeing you at your next appointment.
