The Lucas County Regional Board of Health welcomed two new members during the February meeting, Cheryl Crowder and Sonia Flunder-McNair.
Cheryl Crowder, RN, BSN, currently serves as the Director of Social Determinants of Health Clinical Applications at ProMedica. Cheryl also spent a significant amount of time in obstetrical Nursing, education, and supervision, in addition to diversity and inclusion.
Sonia Flunder-McNair an urban farmer, is the founder and CEO of Urban Wholistics, a non-profit aiming to beautify and enrich neighborhoods. Furthermore, Sonia’s organization hopes to plant gardens in city lots and teach youth the joys of growing fruits and vegetables.
Cheryl and Sonia were appointed by the city of Toledo to fill the vacancies for Richard Fernandez and Jared Wilson, and will serve the remainder of their terms.
