The Toledo-Lucas County Health Department’s Traffic Safety program, along with Ohio Safe Communities and local law enforcement, reminds the community to plan for a safe ride home if drinking alcohol at an event.

Every year the German American Festival draws in tens of thousands of guests from all over Northwest Ohio and beyond. Several local transportation companies are offering their services to those who drink at the festival. Local law enforcement will increase patrols in the area of the festival, taking place Friday, August 25 through Sunday, August 27.
