2025 Proposed Fees

Pursuant to the Ohio Administrative Code 3701-36-14 and Ohio Revised Code 3709.09 the Toledo-Lucas County Health Department has completed the annual calculation of license fees for Body Art Operations. Those proposed fees are listed in the informational letters below.

The Toledo-Lucas County Health Department will hold a public hearing regarding the adjusted fees on Thursday, November 21, 2024, at 8:45 am in the meeting room at Monclova Township Hall, 4335 Albon Road, Monclova, Ohio 43542. Body Art 2025 Fees- Public Hearing Letter to Facilities


Body art in Ohio is regulated under the authority of Chapter 3730.01 of the Ohio Revised Code (ORC) and Chapter 3701-9 of the Ohio Administrative Code (OAC).

These rules and regulations have been established to protect the public health of the community. Body Art procedures present opportunities for the transmission of blood-borne pathogens and bacterial infections. Our role in ensuring the safety of the public is to routinely conduct comprehensive inspections of Body Art facilities paying particular attention to record-keeping, sanitation requirements, and overall maintenance of the facility.
