Due to high levels of Microcystins, the Ohio Department of Health and the Ohio Department of Natural Resources have issued a Recreational Public Health Advisory at the Lake Erie Beach at Maumee Bay State Park. People are urged to avoid contact with the water at the beach. The Advisory was issued on August 9, 2023, and remains in effect. You can find more information on the BeachGuard website.
