On Saturday, August 26, 2016, Toledo Memorial Park will present Ridin’ Late in County 48, a 12-mile slow bicycle ride under the stars of northwest Ohio’s beautiful night sky. This first of its kind in the region event supports The Fund for Public Health in Lucas County and its goal of increasing community wellness by providing an opportunity for friends and family to engage in fun physical activity. Taking place at 9 p.m., riders will be provided a fully supported ride route with police escort that passes through downtown Sylvania, scenic Sylvania neighborhoods and Sylvan Prairie on such beautiful bike paths as the Sylvania River and Quarry Ridge Trails.
The 12-mile Ride will begin at Spoke Life Cycles (6363 Monroe St.) Parking will be available for Ride participants at Root Inc. (5470 Main St.) or St. Joe’s parking lot (5373 Main St.). Since this is a twilight ride, all riders will be required to have both a headlight and tail light on their bicycles. Lights are available for purchase below or are available for purchase at Spoke Life on the day of the ride. The after party will be at the River Centre Foundation, 5445 Main Street, across from the designated parking area on Main Street. The cost for each Ridin’ Late rider is $15.00.
