- Maritime Academy of Toledo
- The Maritime Academy is now offering free lunches to their students.
- Meal pickup is held every Tuesday & Thursday from 10 a.m. - 11 a.m. at the school's main entrance.
- Parents/Guardians do not need to call ahead, and only need to provide the student's name to staff at the door.
- This program will continue through the end of May if the school has not reopened by then.

- TPS is offering free meals for students. It is a drive through service and parents must call 211 to reserve.

- 3 YMCA Toledo Branches will reopen on 3/20/20 to serve the community as grab-and-go food stations.

- Parents can pick up lunch, as well as a breakfast for the following morning for each of their children 18 years old and younger.

- Toledo Area Regional Transportation Authority (TARTA)
- Effective 3/20/20, TARTA will operate on a Level III service schedule: Saturday fixed-route schedule.
- Service will be provided without fares until further notice to minimize viral spread.
- Social distancing between operators and passengers is key to safe transport- only 10 passengers will be allowed on each route vehicle at a time.
- The TARTA Transit Hub at 525 Cherry St. is closed until further notice.
- Call-A-Ride and Express Service are temporarily discontinued.
- TARPS service is limited to medical and dialysis appointments pending further notice.

- United Way Coordinates Meals for Students Amid School Closures: Press Release
- United Way 2-1-1 is taking meal pack reservations for students on behalf of Toledo Public Schools and their eight meal-site locations, as well as Connecting Kids to Meals 15 meal-site locations.
- We are actively uploading information into our 2-1-1 database on other school districts across Lucas, Wood and Ottawa County who are offering meal programming
- United Way will also be assembling weekend snack packs to be distributed on Fridays at various Connecting Kids to Meals locations, on top of the meals they're receiving throughout the week.
- Donation Support
- United Way has recently created a Emergency Response Fund 2020 which will help cover future costs for community needs.

- For example, we are expecting to distribute 10,000-12,000 snack bags over the course of three weekends alone, which total $35,000-$42,000. Several community institutions have stepped-up to cover these costs, but, if school closures continue, we will need your help. Our other partners in basic needs, health, education and financial stability may have emerging requests the community, that this fund can assist with.

- The following utility companies have committed to temporarily suspending utility shutoffs during the coronavirus response.
- Buckeye Broadband (LINK HERE)
- Effective immediately and for the next 30 days, the disconnection of high speed data and residential telephone service is suspended for customers unable to pay their bill due to economic hardship related to COVID-19.

- Gas shutoffs for nonpayment have been suspended.

The Toledo-Lucas County Health Department, the City of Toledo, and Lucas County are committed to ensuring meaningful access to individuals who do not speak English as their primary language and who have limited ability to read, write, speak, or understand English.

Spanish, Arabic, and Chinese Facebook Live Sessions
- Starting Wednesday 3/25/20, County, City, and Health officials will hold Facebook Live COVID-19 Q & A's in Spanish, Arabic, and Chinese to regularly update our largest Limited English Proficient (LEP) communities.

According to the 2014 American Community Survey, the most recent year for Limited English Proficient (LEP) community member data, Lucas County has a population of 438,167 with 24,986 individuals who speak a language other than English and 7,105 individuals who are LEP.
The largest LEP populations within Lucas County speak:
- Spanish 2,936
- Chinese 1,060
- Arabic 930
Lucas County is also home to significant numbers of LEP individuals who speak German, Guajarati, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Vietnamese, and various African languages. As a result, translation of documents will be prioritized for Spanish, Chinese, and Arabic and interpretation services will be available in additional languages by language access providers.
